2K Pupils & more at Kennet School

Well, what a 3 days. Time to reflect. Was I nervous, oh flip yeah. Was I out of my depth, nope; but I am not a teacher nor lecturer, so I had to really think about dotting my i & crissing my t. Afteralll, swearing is punctuation in Northern Ireland & I couldn't be further from that option.

So Wednesday started with T12 HSC for EFaW (with a Year 9 Tutor Group for a discussion on Causes of Unconciousness). The, the evening was Part 1 (Trauma / Medical Emergencies) of 20 Teachers EFaW course.

Thursday was T13 HSC Mock Scenarios for Pt assessment & record keeping; combined with a bit Cas Sim Make Up of a Pressure Sore; then the evening was Part 2 (Basic Life Support module) of EFaW Teachers course.

Friday was the BIG ONE. Approx 500 pupils from each year group for BLS, Anaphylaxis & Choking. A few learning points, should we ever do it again (esp how to grip an epi-pen 😂🤣. Later an element of Breaking & Entering to a classroom, after a door lock failure #TahDah

A huge thankyou goes to Matron Judy, ⭐️ Pupil Max, Lisa, Danni, Ray & of course, ALL of the AMAZING PUPILS of Kennet School.

As always, we are committed to Supporting You To Support Others #SYtSO with #StimulationThroughSimulation
