Well today was just a wee bit spooky. During an Enhanced Resuscitation Session we placed a Pulse Oximeter on the patients* finger
*Note the Patient was called Roger for the purposes of the simulation & was an #Ambu manikin.
Throughout the session, the manikin responded to chest compressions & ventilations combined with an #
Intersurgical device, with Sp02 of 78% on Air & a Pulse Rate of 127.
Which might seem like a fair result. Our concern was the Pt was not actively plugged in & as far as we know, the manikin does not have the ability to deliver this information.
Later in the session, during the hit debrief, Roger would experience several episodes of #LazarusSyndrome whereby, it would spontaneously auto-resuscitate with Sp02 of 31 & PR of 22.
Has anyone else had this with #AmbuMan #AcaciumGroup #ThornburyNursingServices we bring learning alive.
